Agricultural activities are an important part of the historic and present culture of the communities along the Battle Road Byway. There are numerous farms and farmstands within and near the Battle Road Byway, including Wilson Farms, Lexington, a 127-year-old family-run farm, founded by Irish immigrants, in operation at its present location since 1884.
