Thoreau’s Path on Brister’s Hill

The Walden Woods Project owns and designed Thoreau’s Path on Brister’s Hill, which is located on the Lincoln Byway loop near Walden Pond at the intersection of Route 2 and Walden Street. The path introduces Thoreau’s life and writings using granite markers inscribed with quotations by him and others. It is a flat, one mile loop trail and offers visitors a place where Thoreau’s words are brought directly to the land he himself walked, studied, and wrote about.
