Caesar Robbins House

Many Underground Railroad “stations,” or safe houses, are located along The Battle Road Byway. Several abolitionists and former slaves lived here, and were instrumental in the emancipation of slaves and ultimate abolition of slavery in the United States. The Drinking Gourd Project developed a walking tour of African-American and Abolitionist heritage sites in Concord and is actively involved in preserving the Caesar Robbins House as a historical center.
