The Samuel Brooks dwelling stands on the Battle Road where Brooks family members stood among their fellow farmers facing the British regulars on April 19, 1775. The National Park Service has restored the site to be evocative of the family’s experiences at this historical time period. The farmland demonstrates early Colonial and American agricultural life through interpretation and education outreach, including caring for livestock and crops.
